. The Farm .

Western Asturias: the least told, the least trodden, the most untouched, the most alive. This is where our farm stands.

Sheep, hens, Indian runner ducks, birds of every register. Mint, lavender, hydrangeas — petrichor is the essence.

The water here is cold and fresh, treasure of the spring and concession of the sky. And the green, sovereign and raw, unfolds into shades that no canvas could ever hold.

The centuries-old hórreos of the region, and the apple orchards, will reveal to you the splinters of the past.

Minutes away, the footprints of pilgrims along the Camino del Norte, one of the Jacobean routes declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

When you seek the road, the FEVE narrow-gauge train stops at San Cosme: one of the most spectacular rail journeys in Spain. Unhurried on rails, from Oviedo to Ribadeo, showing off the Cantabrian coast.

Nearby, the Ermita de San Roque, the Cera Lendepeña, peaks, valleys and every hiking trail that quiet reflection demands.

And when the sun goes down, so does the cider, poured as tradition commands: steady hand raised high, arrogant from above, all the way down into the depths of the glass.

This is bold countryside. This is the Asturian prao.
