A short drive away, the Western Costa Verde unfolds some of the wildest and most untouched beaches in northern Spain: the legendary Playa del Silencio, San Pedro de la Ribera, the sheltered cove of Concha de Artedo. For those who follow the wave, Cadavedo, La Cueva, Frexulfe and the pristine Playa de Barayo are all within ten kilometres.

And just one hour away, the Somiedo Natural Park opens another world entirely: brown bears roaming free, hiking through glacial lakes, and in winter, snow drawing the landscape shut like a curtain.
